Happy Monday Morning!
Today’s mail art call is one I was glad to see. Leonard Cohen was a prolific writer, poet, singer/songwriter and musician. He was also a painter and a novelist. His work explored everything we question… religion, politics, loneliness, sexuality, and relationships, just to name a few.
When he passed in November of last year, I heard some ask, who was he? What did he do? I was stunned that there were folks who didn’t know his name, weren’t aware of his contributions. The question should be… What didn’t Leonard Cohen do? He was a true multi-potentialite before we had a name for it, before it was cool. He set the tone, he paved the way.
If you want to learn more about him, his poetry and his music I suggest starting here: http://www.leonardcohen.com/
If you are like me, you’ll want to participate in this mail art call, so without further ado, here are the details….
